4.04 CBAM. Describe the Concerns-based Adoption Model (CBAM).

Introduction

In a general sense, technology changes the environment in which it is introduced. This change can either be welcomed or resisted. The Concerns Based Adoption Model (CBAM) is a tool for facilitating technological change within your school. Its use can increase the probability of a successful technology initiative.

Your Job:

  1. Use the details provided below to create a product that addresses and demonstrates mastery of this competency.
  2. Use the stepwise process listed under Your Portfolio to display the completed product in your ITSC portfolio.

    Product Details:

    • Within INSYS 462, create a product that:
      • Defines CBAM and its ramifications and uses in the Staff Development process
      • Develops a CBAM Model for your school district or institution.
      • Uses the CBAM model to develop a Staff Development regimen that takes into consideration the differing levels of knowledge and usage. (This will be used later when you write your Staff Development Plan.)
