Stuff Happens ALL the time! Some problems are easily fixed, while others are more complex. What types of problems occur in schools that are perplexing? How do you as a Technology Coordinator set out to address and solve complex issues?

Your Job:

  1. Use the details provided below to create a product that addresses and demonstrates mastery of this competency.
  2. Use the stepwise process listed under Your Portfolio to display the completed product in your ITSC portfolio.

    Product Details:

    • Create a product in INSYS 461 that demonstrates your understanding of troubleshooting three different preplexing technology problems.
    • Demonstrate an understanding of more complex technology problems that occur in schools today and an effective process for solving perplexing issues.
    • The three problems that you describe must be truly preplexing for Technology Coordinators, not to educators new to technology.
    • Begin with a description of each problem.
    • Provide a rationale for categorizing each problem as preplexing.
    • Detail the process that you went through that did not work for each problem.
    • Then discuss the effective process that you used to solve each problem.
    • If you are new to the IT field, you may interview practicing Tech Coordinators to better understand three preplexing problems that were encountered.
