Stuff Happens! Technology Coordinators are continually called upon to troubleshoot problems. However, before you can begin troubleshooting problems, you must have a plan. What does your plan and process include in order to be effective?

Your Job:

  1. Use the details provided below to create a product that addresses and demonstrates mastery of this competency.
  2. Use the stepwise process listed under Your Portfolio to display the completed product in your ITSC portfolio.

    Product Details:

    • Create a product in INSYS 461 that demonstrates your understanding of getting to the bottom of technology problems.
    • Describe how you receive notification of a problem.
    • Discuss the process that you use to categorize incoming problems.
    • After you describe the process for categorizing incoming problems as either hardware, software, or network; detail an effective process for getting to the bottom of each of the three types of problems.
