Introduction

While working with digital images, you will encounter many different types of graphic files. Each type has it's own strengths and weaknesses. In order to take advantage of all the types of image formats you must be able to convert one type to another.

Your Job:

  1. Use the details provided below to create a product that addresses and demonstrates mastery of this competency.
  2. Use the stepwise process listed under Your Portfolio to display the completed product in your ITSC portfolio.

    Product Details:

    • Convert a image from bitmap format ("pict" or "tiff" files) to "gif" or "jpg"
    • Specifically, convert an image of you from bitmap format to a gif or jpeg and then place it on the "index" page of your portfolio
