Learning Resources - Media 1.02

1.02 Digital Camera. Use a digital camera to create an image.

Introduction

As a technology specialist, you feel strongly about the potential for technology to make a real difference in the lives of our students. Because you can't personally spread the latest information and research to every teacher, administrator, and parent, you've recently begun to publish a district wide educational technology newsletter. You have a first draft ready, but something is missing. A few articles could really get the points across with the right illustrative pictures. Why not pack a digital camera this week and see what kinds of educational moments you can capture? The digital camera has the power to give you instant photos ready for publishing! While digital cameras share similar features, allowing you to produce identical images, each one goes about it in a slightly different way. The one thing they have in common is a button to take the picture, after that they may use different methods to set the resolution of the image, to preview, save, and delete images, and to download the image to the computer. As a result, when using a digital camera the best resource is the accompanying manual.
