Caution

Some functions in the Rubric Processor need to start up Microsoft Word processor. If you don't have Microsoft Word or you have Microsoft Word but the path was not set up in your machine, then Microsoft Word will not be called up automatically.

There are three ways to solve this problem,

  1. When printing and saving a report, be sure to remember the file name and the location where you saved. Then find the file (a Microsoft Word format) and double click the file name to open up with Microsoft Word.
  2. Use NotePad program instead of Microsoft Word when asked. The format of the documents (i.e. student reports) may be different. You may cut and paste the documents from NotePad to your favorite word processors for easy editing. It is strongly recommended that you double-check the documents before giving out.
  3. Add a path (where your Microsoft Word was installed) in your "C:\autoexec.bat" file in your computer. The path may look like this "C:\Progra~1\Micro~2\Office" (it may be different depending on the exact location). If you are unsure how to do, it is recommended that you find someone who knows to help you. You only need to do this once. Once this is done, Microsoft Word will be opened automatically when needed.
